As Analyst / Senior Analyst, Marketplace Strategy & Operations you will live at the intersection of supply and demand on our labor platform. You will be the face of the Marketplace team to both customers (employers) and workers, interacting with both groups on a daily basis. You will embody first principles thinking and a bias for action, ensuring quick yet thoughtful responses to weekly, daily, and even hourly market changes. You will also leverage your organizational, analytical, and project management skills to help design and execute operational priorities as we strive to build world class operations across each of our verticals. You will report to a Marketplace Lead, and interact with Sales, Customer Success, Growth, Support, Payments, Product, and other teams as relevant to achieve your goals. You will:

  • Lead marketplace operations for your assigned vertical (depending on size) including:
  • Act as the daily point of contact for our customers (employers)
  • Update, implement and maintain processes: review and analyse current processes using operational metrics and reports with a eye to improve the status quo
  • Identify new product features and test new hypothesis to help us optimise our marketplace operations 
  • Oversee (and be responsible for) support team members that are actively running shifts and messaging workers
  • Help define the strategic plan for your vertical and future of our marketplace, along with Marketplace Leads
  • Monitor and triage in-shift issues, taking action where possible and escalating when required
  • Monitor daily metrics, proactively identify issues and opportunities, and execute initiatives to deliver 100% shift fill rate while maintaining a high bar for quality
  • Support broader Marketplace initiatives to improve shift fill rate, quality, and efficiency
  • Use tools like Google Sheets, SQL, and whatever else you will need to gather and analyze data to develop insights and inform decisions

Qualifications

You will be a great fit for this role if you get excited about being a world-class operator, are a self starter, and enjoy the rigor and challenges that come with day-to-day data-driven operations.

  • 2+ years of work experience in a strategic and/or data-driven role (e.g. strategy consulting, strategic operations, business operations, high growth startups or related experience) 
  • Committed to our mission of empowering workers with technology
  • Self starter with high energy and proven ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Strong attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
  • Simplify complex problem and communicate strategies in a clear and concise way
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with anyone - clients, team members, hourly workers
  • Live and breathe data, using data as the cornerstone for all your decisions
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Experience with SQL or a strong willingness to learn
