It is no surprise that the statistics released by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics for the last two years have been less than inspiring. COVID-19 not only caused widespread unemployment, but sparked what is now becoming known as “The Great Resignation.” My company, Shiftsmart, has been in labor since 2015 and in that time the modern worker has evolved, demanding more from their employers, including increased flexibility and control over their own schedules.
